Victor de la Serna (Madrid, 1947) is a columnist and former Deputy Editor for El Mundo, a national newspaper in Madrid. He graduated from the School of Journalism at Columbia University in New York in 1973. He is a member of the International Wine Academy and of Spain’s Royal Academy of Gastronomy. He has won Spain’s National Gastronomy Award three times. In 1998 he created a small wine estate, Finca Sandoval, in southeast Spain, included by French writers Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve in their book, ‘The World’s Greatest Wines’.
