Simon Field MW

Simon forsook a potentially lucrative career as a Chartered Accountant in the City for the joys of the Wine Trade, where he worked briefly for Oddbins and then for over twenty years as a Buyer for Berry Bros & Rudd, where he developed specializations in the wines of The Rhône Valley, Champagne, Spain and the South of France, amongst others, specializations which he continues to nurture less formally as a freelancer. Simon passed his Master of Wine exams in 2002 and in 2012 was made a member of the Gran Orden de Cabelleros, where, as its Treasurer, he has rediscovered some of those long lost accounting skills!
