I am pleased to present my Bordeaux 2025 En Primeur report.

With release prices seeming reasonable and being announced daily, there may well be some reasons and opportunities to buy.

2025 is an excellent vintage. A fine, warm solaire year with great richness of fruit, high, but often beautifully judged tannins, excellent fresh acidity and favourably low alcohol levels. Cabernet-dominant reds all fared particularly well, and all but a few lesser Merlots have guarded freshness without gaining cooked or jammy flavours. Top dry and sweet whites are all good, some exceptional, and all are rich.

The report features tasting notes and scores for over 580 of the top wines of Bordeaux in 2025, as well as commentary and notes on the vintage, dozens of photographs, and a recap of the century of vintages so far. I hope you enjoy it.
