As one of the world’s leading experts on Spanish wines, each year Tim Atkin MW produces an annual Special Rioja Report highlighting the best producers from the region. Based on his report, this special tasting will showcase wines from bodegas he has selected to appear in his list of First, Second and Third Growths (all scoring 93+ points) as well as a group of producers he has highlighted as ‘Rising Stars’ – the ones to watch.
Tim says ‘Bringing Rioja’s best wineries in a single room in London is always a highlight of my year. The event will provide a unique overview of what’s happening in the region right now. It will feature traditional and modern producers, single vineyard wines and pan-regional blends, different sub-regions and villages and the full line-up of Rioja’s 14 grape varieties. The best news of all is that many of the winemakers will be there in person pouring their wines. So brush up your Spanish, or Spanglish to enjoy this unique tasting.’
