My guest this week is one of South Africa’s leading young guns. Chris Alheit of Alheit Vineyards is perhaps best known as the producer of cult wine Cartology, first produced as recently as 2011. Chris makes only white wines, focusing particularly on single vineyard Chenins from distinguished parcels of old vines. Together with his wife, Suzaan,he has created one of the most successful wineries in South Africa in less than a decade. These things don’t happen by accident – as you’ll discover when you listen to Chris talk about the hard work which has got them to where they are today
