Description

The 2015 Bordeaux vintage is undoubtedly the best since 2010, but it is far from the harvest of the decade, let alone the century.

The best wines are excellent (and that includes dry whites and sweets as well as reds), but there are also some lows among the highs, depending on picking dates, vineyard sources and winemaking decisions. The long, largely rain-free harvest meant that people could pick pretty much when they wanted.

To choose between the hundreds of wines that are being offered en primeur, some of which have been over-hyped by wine merchants seeking a cynical quick sale, you need honest, unbiased advice.

I spent a week in region recently tasting over 450 barrel samples to research my in-depth, independent overview of the vintage. Whether you wish to buy these wines en primeur or not – and much depends on the prices at which they are offered – this 20,000 word report will give you the inside track on the 2015s at an early stage in their development.

My report includes:

  • 270 tasting notes for wines scoring 91 points or more, complete with drinking windows
  • Scores for over 450 wines
  • The ten things you need to know about the vintage
  • My top ten reds, whites, sweet wines, second wines and value for money picks
  • A selection of my award-winning photos, taken in the region in Aprll 2016
  • A list of my favourite Bordeaux restaurants

All this for £15
